We started as three Novocastrian girls hoping to make a change, but now The [ Y ] Project is a collective group of young, influential students that want to make a difference in the world  .
 

We're working on a range of social justice programs to benefit Australia and the wider world, starting off locally, run by youth. We have discussed awareness nights, gigs and multiple different campaigns focusing on certain issues occurring in the environment around us. We want to celebrate the opportunity to educate the youth about the importance of taking things into our own hands and running with it.

We are a youth-run non-for-profit organisation raising
funds for local and international social justice issues

We would love for the local youth community to unite as one and celebrate the joys of creating a difference in this world, whether it be taking part as a photographer, a band member, or even the audience, coming together for a good cause means the world to not just us, but those that we are donating to.
